: Halloween in San Francisco (Or Was It Christmas?)

Halloween in San Francisco (Or Was It Christmas?)

Santa's House

Laura and I headed for San Francisco yesterday to celebrate her granddaughter Mather's 2nd birthday, which is today. Yesterday was Halloween. If you've never been to San Francisco on Halloween, you don't know what you're missing. Before heading out to Belvedere Street, mom Emily and dad Dan dressed Mather as Raggedy Ann.

We'd been told Belvedere Street is the place to go on Halloween, but there was no way to prepare us for what we saw. Thousands of celebrants lined both sides of the street, which had been closed to vehicular traffic. Therewere witches and goblins and superheroes of all shapes and sizes. Homeowners sat on their stoops handing out candy to delighted trick or treaters. There were dancing pandas in windows. Well...

Happy birthday, Mather.

And for those of you wondering how yours truly dressed for Halloween, here's your answer.

Tom

I bet Mather had a great time, and might I add you were the prettiest Realtor in San Francisco that day.

Sincerely

OH BOY.... You are just the sweetest "Toof Fairy" I've seen lately.....

That's fricking hilarious!  What a set of jugs!

Sally - We had fun. Thanks!

Jo - You're welcome. We had a blast. Mather says "thanks".

Tommy - Why you say the sweetest things ;-)

Fran - The best jugs money can buy!

Tom, you make quite a tooth fairy.  Thank goodness small kids don't have that vision of the actual (?) tooth fairy -- it might cause nightmares!  Very very funny!

I've been to San Francisco for Halloween -- it's quite a scene.  Half the city doesn't even need to don costumes to be appropriately dressed.  As I recall, we went to an actual funeral home for a Halloween party, and there was a casket being used as the bar!

Tom, you've got a lot of cute kids in your photos!  Including that last one!

Brian - I won the contest, btw! Thanks. Halloween in SF is wild. Have you heard of the Exotic Erotic Ball?

Pat - Thanks... so glad you liked it.

Hi Tom,
Fun!  Love your costume.  Sounds and looks like San Francisco is the place to be on Halloween.

Tom:  You crack me up!  My 5 year old grandson just lost two teeth and the "toof" fairy came.  He wanted to know what the "toof" fairy looks like, so your photo was very timely !  You are too cute.

Donna - I hope the "toof fairy" didn't scare your grandson!

Raggedy Anne is a "doll" - no pun intended - especially yours!  Thanks for commenting on my Veterans Day post.
