My mouth started watering when I first heard about Southern Stuffer. I love Cajun and Creole food, so Laura and I decided to stop in for lunch a few weeks ago. Kristina welcomed us and we settled in to look at the menu... oh boy!Crawfish Etouffee, Jambalaya, Seafood Gumbo, Po' Boy sandwiches and a whole lot more. We had a nice visit with Kristina, had a delicious lunch and now look forward to our next visit!
After lunch we met chef Byron. We learned they serve up live jazz every Friday night starting at 6:00. As they they at Southern Stuffer, they're putting love on the plate.

It would be my honor to show you the incredible Temecula Valley, a place I’m very proud to call home.

Love dat der Cajun cookin! I haven't found really good Cajun here in Austin yet...but I keep looking!
Sherry - They must have good Cajun food in Austin. Let me know when you find it!
Next time I'm down your way I know where I'll be having lunch!
Tom, cajun is my favorite food group, and there isn't quite enough of it around here!
Tom, oh yummy!!! Cajun's my favorite food too -- oh, yeah, it would be wouldn't it!?!?! LOL Is that some Crawfish Etouffee on that plate, cher??? Bet the Seafood Gumbo isn't as good as the gumbo you had here at my house back in April!?!?! :)
"Cajun girl lady dancing in the rain!!!!"
Tom, Cajun is great and you and Laura found another top spot in Temecula. Great seeing that you two are having fun out there.
Pappadeaux is as Cajun as Austin gets so far. (that I have found) It's good, but just not the same. But the Crawfish Etouffee and fried Crawfish are good. I have a client that relocated here due to Katrina....She says she is going to teach me Cajun Cooking!
Enjoyed your post and now I'm hungry. I've been on a milkshake thing lately... Blizzard-crazed. Better watch out as I don't want extra 'junk-in-the-trunk.'
Norma - Great! Call me and I'll join you.
Pat - It is a treat when it's done right.
Judi - You like Cajun? Who knew?
Gary - Thanks so much.
Sherry - I'll have to put that on the list next time I'm in town. Thanks.
Susie - Those blizzards are dangerous... beware!
Tom, I went to their website and checked out the Menu -- sure sounds good. We'll have to check it out in person when we're in CA next July. :)
Judi - Oh, are you headed out this way next July? Any special occasion?
Yes, I'm planning to go around the 4th of July!!! A very good friend of mine is getting married and we thought we'd go "crash" the reception!!!! Bound to be lots of good food and wine being served. :)
Thanks for another wonderful Local tip! I finally had the pleasure of visiting The Wine Bar in Temecula last evening and it was as good as you mentioned in a previous blog! I am sure I will enjoy this little gem too! :)
Janice Glad you enjoyed the Wine Company. Jim really has done a nice job there.
Good heavens, that makes me hungry and I just ate not too long ago. It was great talking with you the other day. Sorry I had to cut short! :) Hugs to your beautiful bride! :)
Shannon - The pleasure was mine! Come visit and I'll feed you!!!
Now THIS type of cooking is what you are supposed to find closer to where I live!!!
Barbara-Jo - We had lunch there Friday. Shrimp and crawfish etoufee - delicious!
